AWARDS

MCAE annually honors outstanding students, practitioners and community leaders in adult education each year.

In 2012, the Outstanding Educator award will be given at the Network Conference on March 23rd. The awards for Outstanding Student and Special Recognition will be presented at MCAE's ABE Showcase at the State House on May 17th. Nominators, but not the recipients, must be members of MCAE.

Following are the Award categories. Awards nominations will be accepted until March 1, 2012. To read nomination criteria, please click on an Award to download a nomination form.

  • Outstanding Educator Award is given to a teacher, counselor, administrator, support staff member, or volunteer who has made outstanding contributions to adult education at an individual, classroom, or program level.
  • Outstanding Student Award is given to student who has overcome difficult circumstances to pursue adult education.
  • Special Recognition Award is given to an individual, organization, business or labor partner whose lifetime contributions to adult education merit special recognition.
