What does it take to be an ABE leader?

Leadership can sometimes be a complicated art, sometimes it’s a simple act.

MCAE is asking you to be a leader - by joining us and by combining your voice with ours on behalf of adult educators and students here in Massachusetts.  For more than two decades, in collaboration with ABE leaders across the Commonwealth, MCAE has sought to promote public policies that provide the resources necessary to deliver high-quality educational services, that improve working conditions for program staff, and that enhance the quality of life for adult learners and their families.

Our work can only continue with your support, however. So, please, join MCAE and the organizations listed below by clicking here now.

MCAE LEGISLATIVE BRIEFING

Adult Basic Education:  A Critical Investment in Massachusetts’ Future

On Tuesday, January 16, MCAE hosted a briefing at the State House for members of the Legislature and their staffs to promote a greater understanding of the importance of adult basic education to Massachusetts’ families and to the Commonwealth’s shared future.

Over 50 attendees were on hand to hear presentations from Michele Diecuch of ProLiteracy, Tye Graham of Eastern Bank, and Christine Tibor from the Framingham Public Schools, as well as remarks from Senator Eileen Donoghue, Representative Bob Koczera, and Representative Dan Cullinane.  MCAE Director Jeff McLynch made the case for renewed investment in ABE and urged the Legislature to support the organization’s budget request of $34.5 million for FY 2019.
