ABOUT WORKING CONDITIONS

The Working Conditions Committee focuses on improving working conditions for adult basic education and English as a Second Language practitioners. Its purpose has been to identify best practices in ABE/ESOL employment and develop strategies for improving conditions within workplaces and in the field as a whole.

The Committee has updated the Standards for Quality Working Conditions in ABE/ESOL Programs.

It also conducted a Working Conditions survey of ABE/ESOL practitioners. To view the power point presentation of the results, click here.

Working Conditions closely follows the research and policy recommendations of allied organizations in the field.
